Dr Stefano Angeleri Participates in CLACSO 2025 Conference in Bogotá
Wednesday, 2 July 2025

From 9–12 June 2025, the 10th Conference of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) transformed the National University of Colombia in Bogotá into a hub of critical thought, with over 4,000 scholars, practitioners, and activists gathering to explore the theme “Horizons and Transformations for Equality: Democracies, Resistances, Communities, Rights and Peace.” Dr Stefano Angeleri (UL Law) presented a paper entitled  “Community Health Workers 2.0: Human Rights Education and Protection for Migrant and Host Communities”, reflecting on community strategies as loci of human rights mobilisation. He also chaired a highly interdisciplinary panel on “The Right to Education, Public Policies, and Alternative Pedagogies” with a focus on 'popular education'. Dr Angeleri's participation was made possible thanks to the generous support of the AHSS Faculty Research Committee.
