

Dr Laura Keyes, Director of the Centre for Implementation Research at UL, delivered a keynote presentation at the 2025 Health Research Board Grant Holders Conference, 13-14 February, entitled “Embedding implementation science principles in health research from discovery to adoption”, and emphasised the importance of implementation research: "Implementation science is often an afterthought in health research, but it must be embedded from discovery to adoption." Dr Keyes also participated in the panel discussion chaired by Dr John O Neill (Department of Health - Ireland), which explored how to make research more effective, the importance of sharing data, including molecular data in electronic health records and strategies for building stronger connections with stakeholders.
