Bio
Amrit Kumar is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Crystal Engineering Research Group at the 黑料社, Ireland. He was born in Kolkata, India in 1991. He received his Int. MS from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune, India in 2014. During his bachelor degree, he has worked with Prof. J. N. Moorthy at IIT Kanpur, India on the synthesis of photo-chromic molecules. And during masters degree he has worked with Dr. Sujit K. Ghosh at IISER Pune, India in the field of crystal engineering where he has synthesized covalent organic frameworks for various practical applications and also some metal-organic materials.
Currently, Amrit is focusing on the design, synthesis, and characterization of Hybrid Ultramicroporous Materials (HUMs) for Direct Air Capture (DAC) of CO2.
