We are halfway through our week of events to mark Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) here in UL, and we would like to thank all our colleagues for the great interest and engagement shown so far.
There are several great events planned for the second half of the week, including a session on Universal Design (UD) and an interactive student panel discussion where we will hear the perspective of UL students on accessibility and inclusion at UL.
Universal Design
'UD-in-Three' is an opportunity to check out how colleagues across UL are applying Universal Design in practice in just three minutes. Join us online or face-to-face in the Graduate Attributes Hub, Millstream courtyard Thursday 9.30am -10.30am. , or on the day.
Student Panel
Students from diverse backgrounds will share their perspectives on accessibility and inclusion at UL, within and beyond the classroom. The panel is hosted by Dervla Ryan, Student Life Diversity and Inclusion Officer. to reflect on how UL (individuals or whole schools/faculties/units) can ensure a student experience that is inclusive and accessible to ALL students.
