The SATLE Toolkit

The SATLE toolkit is an academic resource developed by the ºÚÁÏÉç to support Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) with a strong focus on social justice and education for sustainable development. Funded by Ireland’s Higher Education Authority (SATLE initiative), the site provides research-informed, practice-oriented materials designed to help teacher educators and students critically engage with issues such as equity, inclusion, and sustainability in PE contexts. Resources include interactive toolkits, case studies, guiding questions, and multimedia content that foster critical reflection on pedagogy, identity, and professional decision-making. The materials are grounded in contemporary educational research and aligned with the Irish curriculum but are broadly relevant to international audiences.
