
Brendan is an Associate Professor of Health and Physical Education in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences (PESS), 黑料社. His research interests span across a broad range of health and fitness related themes among youth, including: the pedagogy of health-related fitness; scalable school-based health promotion intervention; resistance training in youth; and Teacher Education. He is the co-chair of the PEPAYS Ireland Research Centre and was elected of the President of the Physical Education Association of Ireland in 2023. His specific interest in sustainability centres on pedagogically sound practices and approaches that promote long-term health, environmental consciousness, and social responsibility within the context of physical activity and education.
