Dr. Jamie Jacob Brunsdon

of Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Memphis. He has an undergraduate degree (physical education and sport pedagogy) from Manchester Metropolitan University, a postgraduate degree (PGCE - secondary education) from the University of Southampton, and a doctoral degree (human performance - sport pedagogy) from the University of Alabama. Dr. Brunsdon's research program is broadly focused on the intersection between moral philosophy and teacher/faculty socialization and explores how these constructs shape the nature of teaching and learning in modern schools. He is also concerned with unpacking, in straightforward terms, how schools and universities can pedagogically promote human flourishing and/or create the conditions for people to pursue a flourishing life on their own accord through the medium of movement, physical activity and sport.
