Professor Elaine Murtagh is Course Director of the BSc Physical Education programme at the ºÚÁÏÉç. She is a member of her department’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and led the successful application for an Athena SWAN gender equality award. Her research interests are in physical education teacher education and physical activity for health. Much of her recent research relates to sustainable development, including fostering gender responsive and social justice pedagogies in teacher education.
