Professor Myrian Nunomura has been teaching and researching at the University of São Paulo, School of Physical Education and Sport, since 1996. The major focus is coaching, teaching and training, and coach education in different contexts of sports practice. She applies mainly qualitative research methods. She has been a consultant for the Brazilian Olympic Committee and Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation. Her motivation is to foster and enhance the opportunities for sport’s participation among school children in vulnerable social conditions, having the sports of gymnastics as a reference.
