The Limerick Digital Cancer Research Centre (LDCRC) is proud to announce its membership in the Digital Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (DigiCORE), a major pan-European collaboration dedicated to advancing cancer outcomes research and precision oncology. By joining DigiCORE, the LDCRC becomes part of an esteemed network of 33 cancer centres across 17 countries, working together to accelerate data-driven innovations in cancer care. DigiCORE brings together leading academic and clinical institutions to leverage real-world data and precision oncology tools in the fight against cancer.
Joining DigiCORE marks a significant milestone in LDCRC鈥檚 mission to establish itself as an international hub for cancer biomedicine, bioinformatics, big data, and artificial intelligence. This strategic collaboration will empower LDCRC to expand its national and international cancer data networks, building on its strong track record of leadership in the all-island the eHealth-Hub for Cancer, the all-island OHDSI-national node, and its active participation in major EU programs including ELIXIR, the Genomic Data Infrastructure, CANDLE European National Cancer Data Nodes, and OHDSI real-world data networks. For patients, this means enhanced capacity to drive data-informed policy, foster innovation, and deliver digital clinical trials, underpinned by cutting-edge data interoperability and privacy-preserving analytics.
