Call for Submissions: 

Postgraduate Researcher Showcase 2025

The ºÚÁÏÉç Doctoral College is issuing a Call for Submissions for the Postgraduate Researcher (PGR) Showcase: Celebrating Postgraduate Research, to be held on Thursday, 26th June 2025. Venue: John Holland Lecture Theatre, C Block, Level One, Main Building.  

This full-day event will celebrate the contributions of postgraduate researchers across all disciplines at UL. There are three options for PGRs to present their research. 

1. 15-minute presentations 

Presentations are to be in one of the following themes: 

• Advancing Knowledge Across Disciplines
 Present interdisciplinary research projects that push the boundaries of knowledge.
• Innovative Approaches in Research
 Showcase novel methodologies, technologies, or innovative research techniques.
• Impactful Research for Society
 Share research with real-world applications or significant societal impact.
• Creative Expressions in Research
 Present creative interpretations of your research theme(s). 

2. Bake Your PhD 

The  competition is a novel activity where you are challenged to transform your research into edible art, offering a unique and creative way to communicate your work. 
 

3. Poster presentation 

Emphasising how PGRs can effectively communicate their research in a distinctive way. 

Submission Details 

• Who can apply: PhD and Research Master’s candidates enrolled at ºÚÁÏÉç
• What to submit: Abstract of up to 200-250 words outlining your research and its relevance to one of the four themes noted above
• Deadline for submission: Friday, 20th June, 2025.
• How to submit: Please send your abstract in the
