Congratulations to Cillian Fahy, PhD in the Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems in the ECE Department, who won the three minute thesis competition at the Wind Energy Ireland Offshore Wind Conference 2025 last week.

Cillian presented his thesis in three minutes on stage and was voted as the winner by the offshore wind energy industry. The title of his thesis was "How can AI help speed up robotic surveys of Floating Offshore Wind? - Developing New Underwater AI Algorithms for Real-Time Data Analysis, Mission Planning, and Investigations". Well done Cillian!
