Prof. delivered a fascinating seminar titled:
 “Unified Quantum Theory of Electrochemical Kinetics based on Coupled Ion-Electron Transfer”
In his talk, Prof. Bazant introduced a new theoretical framework, Coupled Ion-Electron Transfer (CIET), that unifies classical electrochemical kinetics models, such as the Butler–Volmer and Marcus theories. His engaging presentation sparked thoughtful discussion among staff and students, highlighting applications in batteries, electrodeposition, and electrocatalysis.
