The Student Affairs Division provides a range of support services to students including:
- Student Engagement and Support Officer for each faculty
- Student Financial Support Advisor
- Student Health Centre
- Student Counselling and Wellbeing Service
- Chaplaincy Service
- Access Office
- Educational Assistive Technology Service
- Widening Participation Office
- Student Volunteering Office and President's Volunteer Award
is funded by the Higher Education Authority through the Psychological Counsellors in Higher Education in Ireland, and in collaboration with UL Student Counselling and Wellbeing service.
Togetherall is free to use and provides an anonymous, safe, mental health and wellbeing service to all students and is accessible 24/7, 365 days.
You can access:
- Free 24/7 Peer-to-Peer Support
- Self-guided CBT based courses and resources
- Clinically validated self-assessments
- Signposting to UL and local services
- 24-hour messaging - Wall Guides are available 24/7 to provide advice, support and active listening
In keeping with our Healthy UL campus ethos, you will be scheduled to take part in an Active Consent workshop as part of your orientation week.
The Active Consent workshops aim to promote a positive approach to sexual health and to equip young people with the tools to recognise and communicate about sexual consent. Consent workshops are an important resource that are designed to inform and protect you and are mandatory for all incoming first year students.
