Implementation Science: Bringing Research to Life

The Centre for Implementation Research at UL (CIRcUL) is a cross-disciplinary centre dedicated to developing, supporting, and enhancing the implementation of evidence-based research, policies, programmes, and professional practices into routine practice for the effective delivery of public services, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable members of society.

What is implementation science?

Implementation science is the study of methods and strategies that facilitate the uptake of evidence-based practice and research into routine use. Implementation science closes the gap between what we know and what we do by identifying and addressing barriers that slow or halt the uptake of evidence-based practices and identifying and leveraging enablers.
