Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

It has an estimated budget of €26.2 billion. The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life.

Erasmus+ supports language learning, teaching, and exchange initiatives. This enables both students and teachers to take part in immersive language experiences, which foster their linguistic and cultural skills. 

English Language, Irish Culture and History

Our English Language, Irish Culture and History course is a rich blend of language learning and insight into contemporary Irish history and society, as well as culture. 

This course is aimed at learners with a minimum B1 level of English, who wish to enhance their English language skills, communicative ability and vocabulary, while also learning about Irish history and culture. The course is eligible for Erasmus+ funding. For more information on Erasmus+, see . 

Programme: 20 hours of tuition plus social activities. Cost €400 per week. Dates 18th – 29th August 2025

In the morning classes, learners develop their English vocabulary, communicative skills, their listening, reading, and writing, all while learning about Ireland. 

In the afternoons, learners join the Language Centre social programme and visit local historical and cultural sites, mixing with other students. There is a full day trip on Saturdays to some of Ireland’s most famous beauty spots, such as the Cliffs of Moher. There are also traditional Irish music evenings for everyone to enjoy.
