Brief Description
The Professional Diploma in Financial Analytics equips learners with advanced competencies in financial data analysis, machine learning, and AI-driven decision-making. This programme confronts the pressing skills shortages in the dynamic fields of finance, banking, insurance, and data analytics, specifically tailored for financial services. It supports national objectives in digital transformation, fintech, and compliance, preparing professionals for evolving roles in risk assessment, trading, investment analytics, and financial data governance. Additionally, its 30 ECTS credit structure facilitates progression within the UL@Work Master of Professional Practice, allowing learners to combine multiple professional diplomas over five years.
Upon successful completion of this programme, graduates will possess a comprehensive understanding of finance and the technical applications of artificial intelligence (AI). They will be able to analyse financial data and information in both informed and creative ways. Additionally, they will develop innovative financial solutions by integrating foundational statistical methods with AI techniques, including deep learning and machine learning. Graduates of this programme will be able to practice an active and reflexive understanding of financial data and information, and responsibly transform it into high-value insights. They will lead in applying analytical skills to emerging innovations and actively exemplify critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership, driving complex data insights in a leadership role across in-person and digital mediums. Graduates will actively sustain an ethical learning community of professionals and ambassadors of the finance and data science professions, becoming global lifelong advocates for responsible leaders.
